Thank you for taking the time to visit this website and find out more about the role of Deputy Headteacher here at The Observatory School.
This is a new role on our leadership team, created in response to the considerable growth that the school has recently experienced. And with confidence that this increased demand is set to continue, it’s an incredibly exciting time to take on a key senior role within a thriving team. I’m incredibly proud that we have established a reputation as the school of choice for parents in our area, and I believe it’s our commitment to a pupil-centred approach that sets us apart.
This new role will greatly enhance our capacity at a senior level and I’m certain it offers a fantastic career opportunity. You can expect considerable autonomy, and you’ll be encouraged to be proactive in your approach and take on shared responsibility for day-to-day school leadership. For someone targeting headship in the next few years, it’s an ideal platform to really establish your credentials and hone your experience.
It’s a time of rapid change in the school, as we adapt to the increase in pupil numbers. That has led to a number of new joiners to the team, so there is a real sense of momentum and enthusiasm within the school, and a great opportunity to make the most of our talented staff. I look forward to working with both of the school’s deputy headteachers to translate that into brilliant outcomes for our pupils.
The school has engaged NavigateNDC to support them in making this appointment. I encourage you to contact them on 01625 800862 to find out more, and I look forward to reading your application.
